Vincent DeStefanis is a member and Senior Instructor at the D.E.S. Training Center. He began his martial arts training in 1994 in his hometown of Hamden Connecticut when he discovered he had a passion for the martial arts and began making them an important part of his life. He set a goal of attaining the rank of Black Belt and achieved it in January of 1999.

At a very young age of 20, Vincent began teaching Kempo Martial arts at many different studio locations throughout Connecticut until finally settling in Stratford Connecticut. While still attending college full time, Vincent became the Chief Instructor at the Stratford studio in 2000. In the Spring of 2000, Vincent graduated from Albertus Magnus College with a degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice.
Vincent currently holds the rank of 4th degree Black Belt in Kempo Martial Arts under Master Brian Hanson (9th Degree Black Belt) and has also studied various martial arts including Aikido, Kung-Fu and Jiu-Jitsu. Vincent also holds the rank of 1st degree Black Sash in Kung-Fu under Grandmaster Tak Wah Eng.
